Wind farm

Newest plant technology for consistent wind power supply

For the scheme an area between the communities of Pripsleben, Tützpatz and Gültz was defined for the establishment of the wind turbines. According to the criteria of the Federal state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania the location is suitable for the erection of wind power plants. Additionally, the site combines a number of positive location factors that have proved to be unique in their constellation for the whole planning region.

So, the project location site is closely situated to the possible feed-in point on the high voltage level which is available in the 380kv-transformer station of Altentreptow Nord. This substation was taken into operation in the framework of the RH2-WKA project in September 2013 and has a considerable feed-in reserve for the WIND-projekt group. Correspondingly, the closely situated possible gas feed-in pipe presents a very positive factor as well. The same is true for the direct relationship with the manufacturer’s establishment in Altentreptow, the closeness of potential large customers for gas and heat like DMK Klatzow as well for the closely running Federal motorway (autobahn) A20, which is of major importance for the delivery of large components. Further important factors like the size of the project area complete the catalogue of favourable criteria with regard to the identified project location.

The planned wind turbine type is mainly of the latest generation and of the type ENERCON E-115 with a hub height of 150m, a rotor diameter of appr. 115m and a total height of up to 208m. On the basis of a specially developed rotor, these plants are meant to reach an ideal balance between downtimes and high full-load hours. Also, in combination with the storage technology they are envisaged to present an important step in the direction of a constant power supply on the basis of renewable energies.

The exact number and configuration of the wind turbines cannot be provided at the moment due to area considerations within the regional planning procedure. They will only be determined in the course of the licensing procedures in consultation with the authorities. The reason for this is that possible changes in the layout of the project site within the regional planning procedures may well entail changes in the configuration in order to finally use the project site optimally and efficiently according to planning guidelines.
